Planning My Water Birth

I am not sure how many of you, my dear readers, have delivered a baby in a pool, but I want to share with you my enthusiasm for water birth. I know for a fact that the birth center where I am planning to have a baby has several pools. I also know for a fact that I am going to get into one without problems if I request it. It already gives me the peace of mind knowing that I am going to enjoy my birth a lot more. I’ve read some amazing stories written by women who experienced giving birth in a pool full of warm, relaxing and soothing water, and I can tell you that I am very hyped and pumped. I am so glad that I have such a great birth center within just a mile from where I live. Even getting there should be a piece of cake, not to mention that I already participate in a tour that allowed me to make myself familiar with it.

I have to admit that I never really thought about the possibility to have a water birth until my midwife told me about all those pools they have in the center. Hooked by the idea, I immediately started reading about water birth on the Internet (like I always do every time I need to research something that I find interesting), and I was hyped for it from the start. Maybe my birth will not be as painful after all.

Dreaming about Labor

Since I am already over 38 weeks pregnant, I find myself dreaming about my labor. Even when I wake up in the middle of the night for some reason, I tend to think about the baby and my labor.

Yesterday, I had probably the most relaxing labor-related dream ever. Generally, my last night was one of the best nights I have had in a long time. I felt so relaxed and peaceful, even with my due date approaching so fast. I dreamed that I slept through my whole labor only to wake up with my baby by my side. When asked about my labor, I responded that I don’t remember it at all. I am still thinking that my experience in the hospital in the next few weeks is going to be very encouraging allowing me to enjoy it very much.

Why I Like Car Trips

The title of this post says ‘Why I Like Car Trips’. I chose this title because I recently I realized that I really enjoy my car trips with my family to places such as woods or mountains. One of the reasons I like my car better than anything else is that I do not have to stick to any schedule. All I have to do is take my car and embark on any trip I want. As long as I am in my car, I decide how long my trip is going to be and when it is going to end. Of course, I often have to consult my family about the duration and place of the trip, but they usually agree with everything I decide that we do.

Getting Ready for Labor

I cannot believe that I am already 36 weeks pregnant. The time is passing by so fast, and I remember my 20-week scan as if it took place just yesterday. And here I am, with a big bump waiting for the big day to finally happen. Am I ready for it? I think so, although, if you have been pregnant before, you know how it feels like to expect your first baby. Since you never know what is going to happen and how it is to take care of a baby (unless you used to take care of a young baby yourself), you might even feel a little anxious about. I know that I am going to do just fine. I have a wonderful Husband by my side who is going to make a great father. He is really excited about the baby, I see it in his eyes, but I also can easily deduct it from his behavior. He even is usually the first one to be willing to shop for baby accessories. He sometimes shops for them on eBay by observing various auctions and then bidding on them.

Since I never needed to take care of any baby myself (I am the youngest in my family), I will need to learn the ropes myself. I am confident that I will do just fine. Who said that you need any previous experience to have a baby? After all, everybody learns such skills from his personal experience and I am no exception to this rule.

Choosing to Diet

It is not enough to decide suddenly that you want to diet. You need to have a plan if you want to lose weight. You also need to choose a method allowing you to lose weight. You can also combine a few methods and use them at once. The reason I believe it is so important to have a plan is that otherwise you might get discouraged and stop dieting altogether. Before choosing the right way to diet, you might want to look around and see what options are available to you. There are always more than one option to choose from, so take time to make your decision wisely and everything should be alright.
